What we do
The Orange County Youth Motivation Task Force (YMTF) brings real-world inspiration into high school classrooms by organizing guest speaker events that connect students with professionals, mentors, and community leaders. Our speakers share personal stories, career insights, and educational journeys—whether through college, trade school, or hands-on experience—to help students see what’s possible. By fostering mentorship and motivation, we equip students with the tools, confidence, and support they need to make informed decisions about their future.
Our story
The Orange County Youth Motivation Task Force (YMTF) began with a simple but powerful idea: real stories can spark real change. Each year, our dedicated volunteer speakers visit 10–12 high schools across Orange County, reaching over 5,000 students with messages of hope, purpose, and possibility. Through relatable personal experiences and real-world data—like cost-of-living comparisons and the financial benefits of education—we help students understand why continued learning matters. To further support their journey, YMTF awards 3–5 scholarships annually, encouraging students to pursue college, trade programs, or other post-secondary paths with confidence and support.
